Get Down Business! Get DOWN!

RR calls her lady parts her “business.”  This is a true story.  The Business is in the front, the Butt is in the back.  Consider yourself informed.

She also personifies everything.  No, really.  EVERYTHING.  Why is the spoon under the plate?  Oh, cause the plate is a “blanket” and the spoon is “going to bed.”  Wake up, spoon!  Wake up!  Oh… spoon’s awake now.

Even her pacifier has a personality.  Sorry… her… um, battooah.  That’s what she calls it.  WTF, people.  Anyhow – if you’re giving her “her things” (the B’s – Bunny, Bear, and Battooah) a kiss goodnight, you MIGHT just find yourself kissing her pacifier.  Right.  Cause if you don’t, that Battooah will totally tell you all about it.  He (apparently it’s a he) it bossy like that.

We’re totally behind in this potty-training business (ha! pun…), so there is still a lot of diaper changing at our house.  Sigh.  Funny, though, that her Business has gotten pretty sassy.  It dances around.  It’s up then down then up then down.  It’s a moving diaper target.

This is where RR acts as if Business is something totally separate from her.  Something she cannot even control.  Really, mama!!  So what does she say?  Well, she scolds Business.  “Get DOWN Business!!  GET DOWN!”  Sometimes, you can also firmly discipline Business in the hopes that it will lay flat long enough to get diapered.

Maybe we can turn the tables around.  “Go to the potty, Business!”  Though, now that I think about it, it might be more defiant than RR…

  1. This is hilarious! Good luck getting her business under control. Let’s just hope it calms down before her teenage years!

  2. This is the funniest thing I have read in a long time.

  3. My daughter referred to it as ‘her body’. As if just that was her body.
I love the stuff they come up with.

  4. I laughed until I cried. Thank you for sharing a glimpse into RR’s world. That kid of yours is hysterical.
