Feels So Good

There’s a song we sing every day.  Well, I’m sure if we stepped back, we sing a LOT of songs every day.  We might be singing all the time.  I’m probably singing right now.

But there’s one song that stands out.  A song that, strangely enough, doesn’t even have lyrics (I don’t think?).

It’s Chuck Mangione’s “Feels So Good.”  Flugelhorn anyone?  No?

We sing this song mostly at pivotal moments in children’s books.  You know, like when the hippos go berserk, or when the birthday monster cleaning crew arrives, or when Mama Llama rushes upstairs.  And since RR demands a lot of reading, we do a LOT of singing.

I highly recommend doing your best flugelhorn mouth-noise impression and chiming in.  Scroll to :30 for the tune:

  2. …as i was saying, thanks for posting this song, i’ve been a lurker for about a year but had to say something about this post – my brother and i used to ride in the car with my dad making flugelhorn sounds to this tune! so thanks for reminding me how much fun we used to have…and now i’ve got to go to itunes and download!
